Sharks in Bali

In general, encounters with sharks are rare experiences. Some divers may go years without seeing sharks. In the waters around Bali, we fairly often encounter blacktip and whitetip sharks. These grow up to about 2 meters and tend to be shy. Larger species, from hammerheads to whale sharks, are also present but are encountered less frequently during dives.

We have identified several sites where shark sightings are more common, allowing us to observe these magnificent cartilaginous fishes in their natural habitat. We dive with sharks year-round.
